Earlier this year we launched the Oracle Sunflower Competition to our staff and clients, delivering packs of seeds and instructions on planting.

The response we got was amazing and we have loved the regular updates from everyone with lots of pictures and stories along the way.

With the early summer weather this year, a lot of the sunflowers showed their faces early with some still in bloom at the end of September. We also had some fall victim to the lack of water or attack from the wildlife 😊

We are thrilled to announce that the winning sunflower measured an impressive 1.24 metres and was grown and nurtured by Annabel Le Lohe from Storey Homes who won our prize of a voucher of her choice.

In gloomy times this competition has given people the encouragement to plant, some who have never attempted it before, which is both an achievement and also great for the environment.

A prize has also been awarded to our very own Gemma Moyle who grew the tallest sunflower internally at The Oracle Group.
