Social Media Strategy for By Design


By Design, a burgeoning player in the premium estate agency market, sought to establish a robust presence on social media platforms to elevate brand awareness, attract a wider audience and drive registrations from potential vendors.

A secondary objective was to proposition By Design for independent estate agencies looking to increase their market share of premium property instructions.

The challenge

Entering a competitive market, By Design faced the challenge of distinguishing itself from established competitors and capturing the attention of homebuyers seeking premium properties for sale.

Using the brand’s unique value proposition and key messaging, we prepared a comprehensive social media strategy to define the objectives and content creation opportunities.

Content strategy

We relied on a content pillar approach to ensure balanced messaging between educational content to showcase the differentiation of By Design in the market, among promotional posts of new listings and nurturing, personality-driven content involving the agents.

We prioritised video content across Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn where possible to maximise reach, collaborating with By Design agents, influencers and luxury brands to position and amplify By Design’s reach and credibility within the premium estate agency sector.

Engaging with audiences through interactive posts, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and sharing user-generated content from home and interior creators fostered a sense of community and encouraged user participation.


January 2022 – January 2023 highlights:

  • Increased Instagram following from 67 to 2,033
  • Generated 19.64k impressions on LinkedIn
  • Created 131 website clicks from Instagram profile
  • 31.85k video views on Instagram and 21.65k on Facebook
  • 34k impressions on Facebook
